My Family LinksWe each have a tremendous number
of ancestors and family members. Here are links to web pages dealing
with some of mine who have been exceptionally important to me.
Florence Morse Kingsley (1859-1937), one of Eleanor's daughters and my great-great grandmother, wrote fiction, both popular and religious, and a history of Wellsley College. Her husband, Charles Rawson Kingsley (), was also a Presbyterian minister, serving some 50 years in a Staten Island parish. Lilian Condit Kingsley (), my Nanna, was married to Donald Morse Kingsley, Florence's son and my Poppy. Nanna, a Wellesley graduate, taught German in a private school in New Jersey and gave pivate piano lessons. Barbara Kingsley Harter (1915-2003), my mother, was a fashion illustrator for Women's Wear Daily. She married George Harter, display manager at Russek's 5th Avenue in New York City. She raised me and my sister, Darielle, and later worked in the Clark, New Jersey, Public Library. William J. Higginson, my husband, has his own extensive web site. Bill is a poet, a translator (from Japanese), an author of nonfiction books on poetry, and a public speaker on writing, Japan, and international poetry. My children, Charles Bihler and Nancy Flaherty, and my granddaughter Courtney and grandson Conor. In step with the age we live in, my children each have their own web sites: Charlie's, www.charlesbihler.com includes some of his creative work in writing and video production. Nancy and her family are featured on her husband John's family web site, www.flahertys.org. But I have some special things about them here on my own "My Children" page. |
